3M Microencapsulated Epoxy products are epoxy based, room temperature curable adhesives. Can be applied to all sizes, combinations, materials and finishes. Fasteners pre-applied with 3M epoxy are dry and ready for assembly.
The epoxy series contains microcapsules of epoxy resin suspended in a curing agent. The force of the assembly shatters the epoxy microcapsules and mixes with the curing agent to create a chemical reaction that locks the assembly. The consistent torque of this series requires no additional heating or catalyst.
Under normal circumstances, 3M epoxy series products start to fix in 4 hours and fully cure in 72 hours.

Low screw-in torque: Compared to nylon glue, 3M microcapsule products can be easily assembled with common hand tools.
Outstanding Locking Capability: Extensive testing has proven that the 3M Microencapsulated Epoxy Series provides two to four times the breaking torque than traditional plastic fastener locking devices.

Long shelf life: 3M Microcapsule Epoxy Series can last for two years when applied to the workpiece, and will remain inert until it is locked into the counter-lock and begins to cure.
Unaffected by foreign substances: the staggered molecular structure of the microencapsulated epoxy series makes it a resistant type of adhesive. Almost unaffected by petroleum, gasoline, salt spray, acid, solvent, water after fully cured.
Save money: 3M microencapsulated products are less expensive than quick-drying products assembled online. No need for expensive lock washers, cotter pins or cage nuts.
